The new public building constitutes the gateway for a new public park landscaped by Gustafson-Porter. The single wedge-shaped mass breaks down in smaller volumes responding to the different edges: a cantilevered glass “eye” over the new square, a ramp toward the park, a sloping wall embracing the outdoor cafeteria space.
