The project fully captures and enhances the dialogue between the enlarged landscape and the minute dimension, generating a "cascade" of spatial conditions that gently guide the relationship between the new pedestrian spaces of the square, the exit of the underground parking and the infopoint - connected to the project by a new light roof that involves them in the synthetic design of the volumes - the canopy to protect the entrance, the vast atrium, gradually up to the more specific services offered by the spa and the large terrace on the roof with the bath open and the view on the Castellaccio.
The site of the old building of the Town hall, located between via Corno d’Aola, the bus station, viale Venezia and the bridge over the Narcanello, thus becomes the chosen place to host a new complex capable of enriching the image of the city, constituting a new architectural presence, and at the same time linking separate things and spaces together.
The proposal of the building combines a precise analysis of the functioning of a contemporary thermal building with an ability to create external and internal spaces with a different character each time linked together by the “narration” of the movement guided by the horizontal and vertical paths.
