New Cornaredo quarter master plan

A new tunnel will connect the area with the Milan-Zürich highway, making the area the new gateway of Lugano from the North. The river banks, the hill of the university institutes, the Trevano wood, the existing stadium, the fringes of the industrial zone are reconnected in an organic design, able to save their differences and transform them into resources. Landscape, infrastructure and architecture are thus complementary instruments of the design of the new city, whose goal is to conjugate intimacy and high accessibility, local dimension and expanded territory.
