We have been shortlisted for the final phase of the ‘Cavallerizza Reale di Torino’ competition

CZA Cino Zucchi Architetti has been selected to enter the final phase of the international competition ‘Cavallerizza Reale di Torino’. A competition launched by La Compagnia di San Paolo, Università degli Studi di Torino and Comune di Torino, to realise an international cultural centre in the city’s heart. It will be a regeneration project that aims to preserve and restore – ‘in the name of sustainability and with the help of the most advanced technologies – the compendium of the Cavallerizza Reale, proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.’

We are particularly proud to be among the six finalist teams, together with Alberto Lessan (Balance Architettura stp srl) from Torino; Adam Caruso (Caruso St John Llp) from London; Piero Paolo Guicciardini (Guicciardini & Magni architetti) from Firenze; Anne Lacaton (Lacaton et Vassal Architectes) from Montreuil, France; and Inge Vinck (Architecten Jan de Vylder Inge Vinck) from Gent, Belgium.

‘The ambition of the competition, also in relation to the secular history of the institutions that put it forward, is to offer Turin an authoritative, iconic and recognizable architectural sign, for it to become a reference point for the cultural and touristic activities across the territory.’ –  cavallerizzarealetorino.concorrimi.it

We would like to thank our project partner Politecnica and consultants DotdotdotTorinostratosferica, Tatiana Milone (Tiemme srl) and professor Alberto Artioli.
