Our proposal for the Haidenauplatz competition

We announce that CZA Cino Zucchi Architetti and WEST8 recently participated in an international architecture competition promoted by a major banking institution. Our proposal for the Haidenauplatz district and the new HypoVereinsbank headquarters in Munich placed third among entries from numerous esteemed architectural firms, including Sauerbruch Hutton, OMA, allmannwappner, BIG, HENN, Henning Larsen, kadawittfeldarchitektur, and Ingenhoven Architects.

Our project focused on the revitalization of the disused railway area between Haidenauplatz and Leuchtenbergring, with the ambition of transforming it into a daily hub for the local community. The proposal was designed to combine the principles of healthy working environments, climate-friendly construction, the sponge city principle, biodiversity, energy efficiency, and innovative building technology into a sustainable landmark for Munich’s cityscape.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our project consultants and collaborators: DeernsMAR OfficeMilan Ingegneria, RBS Group, Steidle ArchitecktenTranssolarOne Off and Wolf Visualization Agency for their valuable expertise.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Sauerbruch Hutton, the competition winners, and applaud all the participating firms for their exceptional proposals.
