Design unveiled for the renovation of “La Filanda” in Chiampo

Last week, after being approved by the Comune di Chiampo, the project for the renovation of the old silk factory “La Filanda” was unveiled to the public. An urban regeneration project, strongly desired by the Nardi holding property, which will see the redevelopment of an old manufacturing building along with the creation of a new public space for the community.

“Il grande piano di rigenerazione del vecchio edificio della Filanda di Chiampo rappresenta una notizia stupenda per la nostra comunità. […] Grazie a questo intervento la vecchia Filanda conserverà l’intero suo fascino ma vivrà una nuova vita, il quartiere acquisterà nuovi servizi e cambierà volto, tutta la comunità potrà godere di nuovi spazi di relazione, di una piazza pubblica di 3500 mq, di numerosi nuovi parcheggi, di un luogo bello che diventerà il simbolo della Chiampo del futuro.” – said Mayor Mateo Macilotti on the day of the presentation.
