Another step forward for Ex Isotta Fraschini’s urban redevelopment in Saronno revealed to the public

New renderings on the urban reform of Ex-Isotta Fraschini industrial area were revealed to the public on July 11, marking an important step forward in the development of the project for the city of Saronno and its extended community. On this occasion, Cino Zucchi Architetti, along with Giuseppe Gorla and other experts, outlined the project’s key points. These include the complete reclamation of the area and the creation of a large central park that will serve as the green heart of the new district. Special attention has been given to the redevelopment of historic buildings such as the former Bernardino Luini and the public space adjacent to the station.

The project also includes the establishment of a high-level educational institution, an international cycling hub, and a residential area with 500 apartments and local shops. Mobility within the district will be primarily pedestrian and bicycle-friendly, with innovative solutions for energy savings and environmental sustainability.

Ex-Isotta Fraschini Area Urban Reform

The presentation of the Integrated Intervention Plan (PII) marks a crucial step towards the start of the works, pending evaluation by the Municipality of Saronno. Once these stages are completed, Saronno will witness the beginning of a project that promises to transform the former Isotta Fraschini area into a symbol of urban renewal, integrating residential, educational, commercial, and green spaces into a harmonious context.
