- France, Nice
- Closed competition, ongoing
- Public, Residential, Urban Design
Resulting from a won competition, the design for the new “Joia Méridia” quartier focuses on the organization of mixed-use programs around public spaces as a centrality of the future district. This project aims at creating an attractive and animated polarity with the construction of residential units, retail, offices and a hotel.
The neighbourhood is organized on a network squares: The Metropolitan Square on the North is defined by a number of high-rise buildings with building by Sou Fujimoto and CZA, while the height of the buildings steps down until it reaches the central Meridia Plaza, a reinterpretation of the traditional Mediterrean squares.
